Choosing the right skincare products haven’t always been my priority. Where I live, skin is probably the last thing on people’s minds as tan lines last all year round. For most of my life I’ve been focused on how my skin looks on the outside and not necessarily the products I’m putting on my skin itself. As I’m approaching the end of college, the idea of aging has slowly crept up on me and investing in more moisturizing, organic products free from toxins is something that’s completely taken over my beauty bag. After being introduced to Orgo Beauty, my skin has never felt more moisturized. I have pretty sensitive skin, meaning that if I want to try a new moisturizer or serum, I never do so before a special event for fear of breaking out. I think because Orgo has so many natural, plant based properties, there hasn’t been anything for my skin to react to.  My favorite products have to be from their California Essentials line…and not just because the brand is based near where I live. The West Coast Algae Moisturizer Cream is hands down the most moisturizing product I’ve ever used and is without a doubt worth the price. In fact, I let my Mom use some and she went to place an order a few days later. I have pretty oily skin being Portuguese, but this moisturizer doesn’t leave a sticky, heavy residue. After a few seconds, it smooths over the skin and leaves the perfect base for makeup. The only thing is that it does not have SPF and for us Cali girls, that’s a necessity. That’s why topping it off with their fragrance free, spray on SPF 29 Sunscreen is a must because it’s a perfect weightless texture to where I can’t even feel it under my makeup throughout the day and provides just enough coverage to shield from the sun. After that, I applied their Protect & Perfect CC Cream for a more natural ‘barely there’ look. With some highlighter, creme blush, mascara, and a dab of my favorite lipstick, I’m good to go!:)
