I'm Hayley — helping moms do more in every aspect of their life. Mom of 3, entrepreneur, and homeschooler!

Meet Hayley

(Since so many of you ask, this top is from Pink Blush and it’s my FAV! It’s so so soft and perfect for fall. I wore it with white jeans, which are always a staple and Annabelle’s outfit is from Carters!)

Who remembers baking these Pillsbury Ready to Bake! Pumpkin Shape™ Sugar Cookies as a child around the holiday season? They were my absolute FAVORITE growing up so Doug and I jumped at the chance to have a little throwback and bake a box to kick off the start of the holiday season. We decided to bake the Pumpkin Shape™ cookies with it being October, but I also remember baking the Christmas tree and snowman ones in December with my Mom growing up! They are so easy to make being breakaway cookies, cooking for only a few minutes, and being available locally at Walmart, not to mention they are super yummy! I really wish Annabelle could have a taste, but she got to enjoy the smell of them baking so I didn’t feel as bad.

Now that Annabelle is here, I am beyond excited to share our fall bucket list because I have so much planned. Having a baby makes each new holiday/birthday/event 10x more exciting because seeing her reaction to experiencing something new for the first time melts our hearts!

  1. Go apple picking at Riley’s Farm: We’ve already crossed this off our bucket list and we had so much fun! Riley’s Farm is a working apple orchard in Oak Glen, CA where you can have a picnic, pick your own apples, tour historic grounds, and other fun activities!
  2. Go to a pumpkin patch and carve pumpkins: We didn’t do this last year and I was so sad! I’m not going to lie, carving pumpkins isn’t always a fun task when you’re doing it because it’s a messy process and you need a bit of muscle, but it’s a fun excuse to get everyone together and I love coming home to carved pumpkins lining our doorway throughout October!
  3. Shop for Halloween costumes: I was never big on dressing up for Halloween in the past, but like I mentioned earlier, everything’s more fun with a baby! We are doing family-themed outfits this year and I’m SO excited to share them.
  4. Have a “Friendsgiving”: We do this every year and it’s one of my favorite events. We usually host it at our apartment and it’s a huge potluck where we all wear comfy clothes and eat everything in site! Doug and I’s friends love to eat, which is probably why we are friends;)
  5. Bake a pie from scratch: Last year I made this pecan pie and Doug fell in love. He’s been begging me to make it ever since and I haven’t gotten around to it, but this year I want to bake that one and a new recipe! It’s so fun making something from scratch and having your family try it and love it!
  6. Cook mac n’ cheese, soup, and chili from scratch. All three of my favorite fall foods!
