For a long time I only ever saw the drawbacks in having oily skin. Being 50% Portuguese, battling oil is in my heritage and there’s nothing I can do but embrace it. After trying oil fighting cleansers and lotions throughout the years, I realized that the key to managing oil is to not try and get rid of it. The key is embracing the natural oils that keeps your skin glowing and finding the right foundation that works with combination to oily skin. I’m a huge advocate of medium to full coverage foundations and after picking up the perfect shade in Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, I’ve been wearing it ever since.
I can’t say enough good things about this foundation. I apply it to my skin at 7am almost each morning and when I check back before I go to bed at 10 or 11pm, it hasn’t budged! I don’t think I’ll ever need to try anything else. I prefer medium to heavy coverage foundations because I love flawless skin all the time and they cover up any blemishes or redness I have. So any BB, CC or tinted moisturizers just won’t cut it for me day to day because they usually don’t last on the skin and fight off unwanted oil production. I couldn’t wait to share with you a long lasting summer beauty look featuring this foundation so all my combination to oily skin gals can see it in action! xx
