Meet Hayley

I am beyond thrilled to share with you guys our little backyard makeover (see today’s video for a tour and moving update too)! This is the first time we have ever had a back yard as a family so to say we are stoked would be an understatement. We’ve been sitting on camping chairs in our screened in back porch for the last seven months so it was definitely time to make a change! It feels so cozy and we go outside so much more often now.

I knew I wanted something with a bold color for our porch because living in Charleston has made us embrace colors and patterns! All the furniture you see is from POLYWOOD and we couldn’t be more obsessed. First off, we needed something to be weather proof and especially mold proof as it’s so humid in Charleston. The blue and white chairs you see are from their Vineyard Deep Seating Collection, which has Sunbrella® fabric and marine-grade cushions to resist weather, salt, sun, mold, and mildew. They also dry off super quick! It’s what many of the seating in boats are made out of so we knew it would last. I also love how comfortable the pillow style back cushions are with the button detail on each one. I got almost all the décor from Home Goods or Target and I will link it all below! I didn’t purposefully set out on going with a green and blue theme as it’s generally not a color combination I’d go for, but I loved the throw and lumbar pillow so much that I stuck with it!

The other big change in our backyard is the Vineyard Adirondack Chairs and Fire Pit Table. We’ve wanted a fire pit table for such a long time to roast marshmallows with friends and gather around for dinner or dessert. I chose the white color (they come in a few different colors) because I knew wherever we move next that white would match! The chairs are so comfortable too because they have a waterfall front that provides extra comfort for the backs of your knees.

The best part is the fire pit. Unlike so many other fire pits I see, this one is actually gorgeous! The pebbles are so much nicer looking than wood. The safety wind guard made of glass helps the table surface remain cool so we aren’t worried about Annabelle getting burned by the table and the flame is adjustable from low to high. POLYWOOD also offers a lifetime warranty on stainless steel parts and it comes with a fire pit table cover.

Overall, we are obsessed with everything! We can’t wait to share it with family and friends this summer and fall!

*A big thanks to POLYWOOD for sponsoring this blog post.
