You know those days where you feel BLAH? You go to sleep with plans to wake up before your baby, have a cup of hot coffee, get dressed with makeup and hair, and start your day off on the right foot only to wake up rolling out of bed like a hot mess…and then still feeling like that at 4pm. Those are most my days (when I’m not filming;) No one wants to see that on camera lol. I’m not one to get ready each morning unless there’s a purpose because first off, who do I have to impress? I know…I should get ready for myself (or husband? ha), but I’m just not that way normally. As I write this, it’s 6:36pm and I’m in PJs already, my house is a mess, and I haven’t cleaned up dinner. It’s definitely one of those days, but you know what? It’s ok! Tomorrow’s another day to start fresh. I find that if I have too many days looking like a bum, I start to feel like a frumpy Mom (especially already big and pregnant) and if I don’t break the cycle and do something for myself then I get in a rut. So I thought I’d share a few things I like to do to feel more put together and less like I rolled out of bed (I wish!).
Cute pajamas that aren’t an XL men’s t-shirt.
I got these pajamas from Pink Blush (my FAV maternity brand) and they are so soft and comfy. I still breastfeed in them too because the front is stretchy enough to pull down and they wash really well! Pink Blush has the CUTEST pajamas and robes!
Having a tan.
Ahhh so I’ve received so many DMs last night after trying out the Bondi Sands self tanner (in dark). I woke up today with a flawless tan!! Seriously, not a streak in sight and that NEVER happens to me. I’m terrible with at home tan, but addicted to it when I’m not being lazy;) It’s less dark than Loving Tan or Tanceuticals, but is way more natural with an olive undertone (not orange at all!). It’s also on sale!
Having my nails painted/ getting them done.
I wish I could get my nails done professionally every month, but to be honest, I hate sitting in a nail salon for an hour unless I have a friend go with me. It starts to feel like a chore! I started doing them myself and it feels so good! It still will never look as good as when you have them done and lasts half the time, but when I get a chance this one step makes me feel so much more feminine! I’m also dying to try SNS. Have you tried it and liked it? I hear it lasts for 1.5 months! Sold!
I’ve been wearing Halo Couture extensions for the past month (off and on) to test them out and so far I love them! I’m still not 100% sold on the halo part. I’m so used to having clip ins where I clip in myself that fussing with the clear band is hard for me. The hair itself is by far the best quality have I’ve ever owned though! On that note, I’m getting my hair touched up on Wednesday and I can’t wait! I decided not to do it myself and trust a professional in removing the brassy tones;) I’m also loving these affordable eyelashes from Kiss for a more natural look!
That’s it for today’s post! Let me know what are some other things that make you feel more put together:)
