Fall is right around the corner and if you can’t tell from my last post, I couldn’t be happier! We have so many fun activities planned for this fall as a family and I’ve pretty much already picked out all of Annabelle’s outfits for each event. We are doing a bit of traveling within the next couple of months so I wanted to make sure we both have staple pieces in our fall wardrobes to take with us! I cannot believe we’re almost at the beginning of the holiday season again. This is the first holiday season that Annabelle is with us and it brings me back to when she was in my belly during this time last year! I’m realizing more and more that time flies and it’s important to make the most of every moment, cherish the people that really matter, and truly live out each day.
When it comes to purchasing items for my wardrobe, I’ve found myself adopting the motto of “less is more”. Years ago I used to fill my closet with different “fast fashion” pieces that would only last me through one season and at the end of the year I was left wondering why none of my clothes were holding up. Through the years I’ve started to notice that the pieces I invested in that had quality stitching and fabric would last me for years and years and that’s when I started to be very selective when it came to purchasing staple pieces. This winter I knew I wanted to invest in a few high-quality pieces like this warm waterfall jacket that’s perfect for fall/winter, black over the knee boots that are so slimming and make any outfit look more put together, and a good pair of leggings. Let me tell you, these aren’t just regular leggings. First off, they are called “sculpt and lift” leggings for a reason. They have a wide elastic band around the waist that sucks you in and lining down the front and back to really sculpt your legs to make them look thinner and believe me, they really do! Leggings rarely make me feel put together, but these ones are like wearing a really good pair of jeans, only they are so comfortable! I think a high-quality flattering pair of leggings is such a staple piece in anyone’s wardrobe.
Marks & Spencer has the cutest selection of fall clothing for women and they also have the sweetest babywear, and home decor too! When I saw this three-piece denim set online, I knew it was perfect for Annabelle. I got a size 12-18 and although it’s a tad big, I know she will grow into it so fast and it will be perfect for wintertime with tights, boots, and a hat! Dressing her up has been one of my favorite parts about having a baby girl and now that the seasons are about to change, it makes me that much more excited for fall!
