Meet Hayley

One of the biggest adjustments to motherhood was how little sleep you actually get! Everyone always tells you to expect intense sleep deprivation and I always thought to myself  “Ha!! I went to college. I know what sleep deprivation is.” OH, how I was so wrong! On the plus side, I’ve become much more of a morning person and have started to enjoy being awake at the crack of dawn (sort of;) because my days are much longer and we are able to explore more of LA since we aren’t sitting in traffic! Hooray! We love packing up the car after her first nap at 8 am and driving a little farther than we’re used to so we can experience something new. It’s so easy to stay in the “South Bay bubble” as people call it because we really have everything we need here although LA is so big that I haven’t even scratched the surface of experiencing everything it has to offer even though we have lived here for almost 3 years!
On this particular day, my friend Shelby and I woke up early and took Annabelle to Malibu Farm Pier Cafe, which is one of my favorite places in LA. I love restaurants that sit on the end of piers because the views are beautiful and this one is my favorite because the food is soooo yummy! Even though we ate at 10am we both got lunch;) I’m not really a big breakfast eater. I’d rather have a sandwich! I got a steak sandwich and she got a BLT. So bomb! Also, the ocean is right below our feet and the white clouds behind our plates were intense fog!Of course, because it’s LA everything is grown locally and all organic. I almost got an $8 green juice to be fancy, but decided against it well because…come on $8 for a tiny juice?! Only in LA. I’ve known my friend Shelby since we became twins in our sorority back in 2010 and we’ve been besties ever since! She’s also Annabelle’s Godmother:) I’m obsessed with this kimono from Pink Blush. I wore a nursing tank under it and it’s the perfect postpartum outfit! I’m also in love with white jeans at the moment…now that I can finally fit back into them! The one thing my friend and I LOVE to do when we’re together is getting ice blended hazelnut coffees from Coffee Bean. My absolute FAV! Seriously, you have to try them if you haven’t already. Their hazelnut iced coffees are so good too and the best treat! Annabelle even wanted some;)
