Free People has to be one of my favorite brands when it comes to bohemian clothing, which if you can’t tell, I’ve been obsessed with lately! I love pairing contrasting prints and patterns with earthy accessories like this wrap bracelet from Chan Luu and straw tote. Last week I styled their Toosaloosa cutwork top here with a pair of bright blue jeans for a casual day to day look. To me, that’s exactly what Free People has to offer, effortless pieces that aren’t overthought. This weekend was pretty laid back. One of my best friends visited us in LA and we spent the day catching up and chatting about ideas for the wedding. I wore this billowy, bohemian dress and light mint espadrilles on Sunday right before Doug and I got lunch at one of our favorite restaurants Tin Roof. I only have one other pair of espadrilles and after owning them for a year I thought it was time to get a new pair! At first I didn’t know if I would get enough use out of the ones shown above from Kensie since I’m not used to the sneaker sole, but surprisingly they are super comfortable! After lunch we spent the day walking around the strand checking out all the boutiques downtown and through all the hills my feet felt fine! It’s always a relief when I find shoes that are both stylish and comfortable. I’ve found that the mint color on these actually pairs well with a lot of different outfits since I chose a muted/pastel tone. Ever since spring hit I’ve been wearing this straw tote I picked up last year a ton. I feel like even if you don’t live near the beach it’s such a staple item because it goes with everything! Free People is still having their sale going on if you’re interested and I’m tempted by all the pretty dresses for summer. I can’t wait for beach weather!
