After hearing so many good things about this foundation, I thought I would put it to the test and share my results after an entire day of wear. I’m definitely not going to be pulling an all-nighter just to prove that this foundation really lasts for 24 hours, however finding a foundation besides my trusted Estee Lauder Double Wear thats cheaper and going to last just as long I thought was going to be difficult. I went ahead and applied my makeup with a dampened beauty blender without priming to get the true effect. I then did the rest of my makeup as normal, setting everything with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in translucent and bronzing up the face. Here are my results as the day went on…
12:35 pm: After a few hours of wearing this foundation, I did notice that my skin still looked covered without being cakey. A lot of mattefying foundations have the tendency to cling to dry spots and sit on the skin without blending into the rest of your makeup. I can’t speak for the first claim since I am oily and don’t tend to have that problem, but I can say that the rest of my makeup didn’t look patchy and provided a good amount of coverage.
3:30 pm: At this time my foundation was still in place on the majority of my face, although I did notice redness peaking through around my t-zone. I wasn’t overly oily and the rest of my makeup still blended seamlessly.
5:47 pm: Overall, I loved the weightless texture and demi-matte finish, however by the end of the day, the foundation didn’t last as long as some of my high end foundations. Redness was showing throughout my t-zone and since I do have oily to combination skin, I desperately needed to powder. I would recommend this foundation to anyone who is looking for a good dupe for the Estee Lauder Double Wear, but doesn’t need as heavy of a coverage. Also, I would recommend a primer underneath for extra staying power. It was an 8/10 for me!
