Today I’m sharing my ooeygooey chocolate chip cookie recipe! Since I posted this recipe (aka the best cookies EVER), a ton of you guys have requested I post more dessert/cookie recipes so here we are! For those of you who don’t like oatmeal/peanut butter like in the last recipe, I wanted to post something a little more basic that everyone can enjoy. These cookies are SOOOO good and everyone who tries them loves them! I also mentioned into today’s vlog that I got new bakeware and a tea infuser from X-Chef which is available on Amazon Prime! I’m obsessed with these silicone baking mats because it makes cleaning up that much easier and these gloves for handling things out of the oven!


  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all purpose flower
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp hot water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt. Stir in flour, chocolate chips, and nuts. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans.
  3. Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Enjoys!

    THese seem like they make a ton – 3 cups flour whoa! Can I halve the recipe? Hope it still turns out okay. The baking soda in water step is an interesting one I’ve never seen before hmm

    I forgot salt ? But doesn’t seem to matter. Still delicious. I popped some m&ms on top of mine (after cooking but not fully cooled) cuz it’s tradition for my in laws anniversary to eat m&ms so I thought this would be a fun way to mix things up.
