Homemade Pecan Pie Recipe

I had to share this recipe with you guys because everyone in my family went for seconds! Doug usually doesn’t like pies, but he couldn’t get enough of this one. I’ve┬ánever made a homemade pecan pie before and I’m not sure why. Usually I pick up a store bought one during the holiday season, but after trying out this recipe I’ll never do that again! The taste is unlike anything you can get at a store and the store pies now just make me grossed out haha. It’s such an easy recipe too because I skipped making the crust from scratch and there’s only a few ingredients, most of which I already had in my cupboard! I filmed making the pie at the end of this vlog if you want to see it in video!:) Hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving with your loved ones!

  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 uncooked pie crusts

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, beat eggs until foamy, and stir in melted butter. Stir in the brown sugar, white sugar and the flour; mix well. Last add the milk, vanilla and nuts.
  3. Pour into an unbaked 9-in pie shell. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes at 400 degrees, then reduce temperature to 350 degrees and bake for 1 hour.
